The only pics I've got on this particular laptop at the moment are of the basement music room after it finally got finished and outfitted. The guitars visible are my Martin DXM on the wall and my Godin Exit-22 on the floor stand, though the tweed case at left holds my '68 Gibson LG-1. Not seen are my Lil' Martin acoustic, and my MIJ reissue '68 Pink Paisley Tele and my gold-top Reverend Charger 290.

Love the acoustics. Guitars as well as yourmusic room. Not everyone has to plug in. In a 10 x 20 basement room, there really is little reason to have any amplification, but it's a nice option. The 100w Kustom PA has a dedicated instrument channel that works really well with an acoustic guitar pickup. For the electrics, the Pro Jr. is way overkill. The Roland Micro Cubes are plenty loud enough unless someone is banging on the drums (which is overkill for the room, too). Brushes please! The other end of the room has an eclectic Chinese tea house theme to display our China memorabilia, including posters, paintings and photos:

Nice play to hang out, Bluejay, I love it. I did notice an old Pignose down there in the mix, I still have one of those old beasties.

Nice. Reminds me of one the first gigs I did for a house party. The Floor and Elvis give that 50's feel. It was all acoustic and alot of fun.

That is a great room. Many a happy hour spent in there I'll wager.

We finally had our first party a couple weeks back for work colleagues -- a fellow guitar player loved the set-up but complained the room was too bright and started unscrewing some of the track lights. Ah, old eyes (yeah, that's the reason, lol). BTW, the Elvis figurine comes via my late FIL -- he brought it home from a garage sale as a joke, just to see my late MIL's reaction. He had a cool sense of humor and my wife and I became the keepers of what we call "St. Elvis of the Vegas Years."

That is a great room. Many a happy hour spent in there I'll wager. It sure makes it easy to practice -- any time I get even a few minutes free, I can just drop downstairs and grab a guitar. Especially nice when a song-writing mood takes hold -- a few new pieces have come out of the room, so it will "pay" for itself, artistically not financially. It is making me want to retire sooner than later so I can put more time into a rewarding pursuit.
