linkI spent an hour on the phone today being interviewed about Fred Neil by Peter Neff, who is writing a book about Neil. I met Neil a couple of times in the early sixties at the Gaslight Cafe, and was stopped dead in my tracks by his voice. Talking with Peter, I went back to listen to some of Neil's stuff and he still sounds as good as ever.

I must admit I hadn't heard of Fred before. Nice!

Freddie's "Blues On The Ceiling" was my introduction to acoustic blues (albeit folk blues), from the album Folksong 65. I still listen to the 'Tear Down the Walls/Bleeker and Macdougal' anthology.
