We had to cancel the gig last Wednesday, Jo was not ready for 3 1 hours sets.
This weekend, if the damn weather will cooperate, we'll hit Main Street a few times. Also got an offer for a (low) pay gig the end of June. A Monday lunch time deal, which I guess the place has had problems filling that slot for no pay. May be a good gig if the tips are anything like on the street.

We actually got two gigs at the same place today, June 7 and 28.

We've played the last 2 days, a big set each day, and hope to get the spot today as well. Jo's back is improving.

Still that many folks 'round there this weekend?

Well there were big doin's Friday and Saturday, the crowd was much smaller and more reserved today. We did a set and Jo popped a B string, so we took our cue and headed home. Every time out is not a money maker! But a few folks showed some interest anyway. It was cloudy, breezy, and humid when we were out. Weather can sure affect peoples' moods!

We're about to head out the door. Overcast but no rain chances according to Wunderground. On the safe side we're going all acoustic. Maybe on the 28th we'll have a sunny day instead.

It went pretty well, sweaty! Jo did very good but it cost her a lot. I hope to find some 2 set indoor gigs this season. We have 2 more 3 setters on patios lined up, late this month and early in July.

Fang, no illusions about the Texas heat! But I'm surprised, April was mostly dry and May got pretty wet, and on to now. It will be hotter our next 2 gigs which are outside. Some saving grace in July, it's an early evening deal. June 28 it's noon to 3 but shaded at least.

We have the set lists done for the 28th, lunch date, noon to 3. So there's time to go through the songs and keep them highly polished! I think we're getting a turbo fan even though we'll be in the shade. 90+ is forecast.

I've been in Texas in the summertime. Shade was NO guarantee of being cooler. But that was down in Laredo.

Silver Creek wants us for the 28th of June and has added us on July 5 as well. Add to that the July 8 gig at Albert Dance Hall and we're busy lately! Add to all that I'm moving our house back to the RV park the week after the 4th of July and I am gonna be a busy boy! Jo's back is slowly improving so we have high hopes we can do these 3 dates.
