Yeah, well, I woke up this morning to realize I forgot to change my clocks before I hit the sack. So I "lost" more time than just about everybody else! Whitefang

We don't do the Daylight Savings time change here in Arizona. We are Mountain Standard Time all year long. California, Oregon, and Washington state all have voted to go on Pacific Daylight Savings time all year long, which will mean no tome difference between us and the West Coast all year long.
I kinda like it, no time hassles 2x yearly here in Arizona.

Being retired you'd think this is no big deal but guess what- I need to rise early and gat my duties out of the way just like a real job, just less hours. So I guess I'm getting up at actual 5 a.m. instead of the usual 6 a.m. Like to good old bad old days. I would be thrilled if the rest of the country would say forget this archaic and inefficient tradition.
The street sessions went well both days. Weather was perfect, lots of folks on the street, instruments worked great, and we played with our usual flair!

They've been debating dropping this idiotic notion entirely. Trouble is, it's debated every time it switches with no result except keeping it going. I never could stand it. But one amusing thing... I remember when it started as an established practice here('73 if memory serves) there was a guy at work who'd always show up an hour late for work the Mon. following the switch. Used the excuse, "I forgot to change my clocks..." It was three or four years before the boss realized that if that was true in both spring AND fall, then at one of those times he should have been an hour EARLY! And another one is, when it was first established, my ex's Grandmother, in her mid 80's at the time, hearing and reading the reminders to set your clocks at 2:00 am, called my Father in law worried that she would have to set her alarm for 2 in the morning to reset her clocks!
