So possibly more good news here. A nonprofit may be picking up Jo's regular chiropractor visits, we have to wait and see. Patience, a rare commodity sometimes!

We did, and we did. With the exception of Jo losing a callus. I had brought the video cam but time was just too tight and we'd not used amps/p.a. live in ages so sound was sketchy for a while until I got it sorted. Last 4th of July was the last time we'd set up electric.
It was HOT. High 80's. Kind of humid. I loaded the gear before 11 this morning, we headed over and got it set up- of course a xlr mic cable was bad and no extra with us- I made do with a hi z ball mic and 1/4" cable to the p.a.- we played 3 sets sweating like you know, then broke down and got things back home by about 4 or so. Exhausted! Beginning to feel more or less human now at about 10 p.m.
We do it again next Monday, same place and time. Then 3 days later an early evening gig at a new place.
We did have a pretty nice time, pay plus tips plus some wiener schnitzel and some sort of cubed prime rib fries.

We had booked there for lunch thing today, but Jo's back was just not up for it so we had to cancel. BUT I think we have a friend now. I didn't go into details but did let the music gal at Silver Creek know it was a health issue, and one thing led to another. Turns out she lost her mom to cancer and it kind of changed our dynamic.
The strangest things can bring folks together.
Health permitting we're doing 3 hours Thursday evening and also have one at Silver Creek late this month.
Prayers appreciated!

So it's been rainy here lately, kind of different for the semi arid climate like this. So yesterday morning it was sprinkling a bit. Jo had a hair appointment first thing, and I pulled the truck up into the yard so she could stay mostly dry. We went to the salon and meanwhile it began raining harder. We headed back home and my mistake, I did the same maneuver, pulling onto the lawn to get close to the door. This time I sunk about 6 inches into the mud. 24 hours later and several attempts to get it out, I finally have some help on the way. Embarrassing!
Some days you get eh bear, some days you get teeth marks on your butt.
